In Ireland, you often hear people ask, “How was the craic?” Pronounced “crack,” it’s Irish for the ambiance, conversation, and liveliness of a bar. Drinks and food bring you to a pub for lunch: craic makes you feel welcome and pulls you back with friends after work.
In 2014, our Irish family stopped in for drinks before and after a family wedding reception, and we were struck by both the history and the potential of the pub. Next to McKay Tower, Rosa Parks Circle, and the DeVos Convention Center, there’s no better place to be in the thick of Grand Rapids life.
After long preparation, Flanagan’s is once again under Irish ownership, and we have remodeled the entire bar in modern Irish charm. When you come to Flanagan’s today, we hope you’ll see a relaxed, authentic Irish pub with great specials and a curated craft beer & whiskey list.
All-new draft system. Expansive whiskey selection. New food menu. Remodeled with Irish welcome. Call it Flanagan’s 2.0. Call it Flanagan-again’s (on second thought, don’t call it that). Join the craic – the Irish have never met a stranger!
